Moms, I had to share this! 💧 I just found out that in many places in Washington, tap water already has fluoride and that helps prevent cavities in kids’ teeth! I always try to get my kids to drink more water instead of juice or soda, and now I know that, besides keeping them hydrated, tap water (if it’s fluoridated) also helps protect their smiles. If you’re not sure, call your local water company and ask if your water has fluoride. Small changes can make a big difference! 😁 @followers City of Othello, Washington Adams County, Washington
💧 Did you know your tap water can help fight cavities? In many Washington communities, fluoridated drinking water helps strengthen teeth and reduce decay especially for kids and families who rely on everyday, affordable health supports. Here at Othello Food Bank, we encourage families to choose water over sugary drinks whenever possible. It’s hydrating, budget-friendly, and a simple way to support healthy smiles.
Food insecurity affects too many of our neighbors in Adams County. – 3,320 people experience food insecurity, including 1,390 children. – 4,210 residents receive SNAP benefits, but 4,782 income-eligible people are not enrolled. – School meals, summer meals, WIC, SNAP, SUN Bucks, and local food banks all help families put food on the table. Please help by sharing this information, encouraging eligible neighbors to apply for benefits, supporting local food programs, and speaking up for strong food-assistance services.
