For the past three years, Othello Food Bank has been proud to support Bite2Go in our community, and we’re excited to be heading into our fourth year. One of the most common questions we hear is, “What is Bite2Go?” In short, it’s a weekend food program that sends kid-friendly, ready‑to‑eat items home with students so they have something to eat when school meals aren’t available. Here’s a short video that explains how Bite2Go works and why it matters for kids and families. 🎥👇 https://youtu.be/1WwUz930S9A?si=MKJj-lms6A83nz0V Thank you, Othello, for standing with our kids and helping make sure no child in our community has to worry about weekend hunger.
Hello City of Othello, Washington We are starting our Bite2Go Campaign!! What is Bite2Go? Please watch the video below. https://youtu.be/1WwUz930S9A?si=MKJj-lms6A83nz0V We at the Othello Food Bank are looking to partner with business, schools and churches to fund this amazing program that feeds over 109 children in Othello School District that face food insecurity. In Othello, an estimated of children lives in households that struggle to consistently afford enough nutritious food, putting them at higher risk for poor health, learning challenges, and stress at home. Many students rely on school meals as their most reliable source of nutrition, which means weekends and breaks are high‑risk times for hunger. Bite2Go helps close that gap by sending food home, so kids have something to eat outside school hours. Yesterday, we had the honor of sponsoring a table at our local Othello Chamber of Commerce Dinner Banquet a heartfelt thank-you to the Chamber for all the incredible work they do to support our community! We took this opportunity to shine a light on an important cause supporting local farmers and the Farm to Food Pantry program. Without our local growers, the supply chain that brings nutritious food to food banks simply wouldn’t exist. Their dedication keeps our community strong and helps feed those facing food insecurity across our state. We’re proud to stand alongside our Chamber and local partners, working together to make a difference where it matters most. @topfans #CommunityStrong #SupportLocalFarmers #OthelloChamber #FarmToFoodPantry The Ritzville Adams County Journal Columbia Basin Herald City of Othello, Washington Adams County, Washington Harvest Against Hunger
