Food insecurity affects too many of our neighbors in Adams County. – 3,320 people experience food insecurity, including 1,390 children. – 4,210 residents receive SNAP benefits, but 4,782 income-eligible people are not enrolled. – School meals, summer meals, WIC, SNAP, SUN Bucks, and local food banks all help families put food on the table. The start of a new school year means it is time to get excited for one of our community’s favorite traditions the Othello Fair! This year, we are proud to collaborate with the Othello Rotary Club to support the 2nd Harvest Bite2Go in Othello. Together, we are working to help provide nutritious, ready-to-eat weekend meal kits for local students who may not have reliable access to food outside of school hours.
