Join Us in Fighting Hunger – This Saturday! The Othello Food Bank is partnering with our local Post Office for a community-wide food drive this Saturday, May 10th from 10 AM to 5 PM! Event Drop-Off Location: Othello Post Office – Loading area in the back off of 6th Ave Here’s how you can help: • Leave a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox • Or drop off items directly at the Post Office during event hours Suggested Non-Perishable Items: 1. Canned vegetables 2. Canned beans 3. Peanut butter 4. Boxed pasta 5. Rice 6. Canned soup 7. Canned tuna or chicken 8. Cereal or oatmeal 9. Pasta sauce 10. Mac & cheese boxes No postcard? No problem! Big Thanks to Scootney Springs Elementary! We’re excited to share a fun and generous project led by the amazing 6th grade leadership team at Scootney Springs Elementary! Starting next week through the end of the school year, students will be taking part in a school-wide activity where they vote with purple and yellow tickets to see which teachers will get a pie in the face at the year-end assembly! To earn extra votes, students can bring a quarter or a canned food item and here’s the best part: All donations go directly to support the Othello Food Bank! This creative effort, entirely planned by 6th graders, is a great example of how our youth can make a difference and have fun while doing it. Thank you to the students, staff, and families at Scootney Springs and a special shout-out to the Gilbert family and Country Morning Farms for donating the milk cartons!
